What a great time! This was short notice, but 5 AFTA members attended the fun day show put on by Equistar at Westworld. These people really put on a great fun day show. They even provided muffins and donuts for breakfast. Then there was lunch-wow! They provided, free of charge, wraps and sandwiches, soft drinks, cupcakes and cookies. Heather Holmes was the Judge and did a great job. She even made herself available to give riders tips and advice. Five AFTA members entered various events. The riders were Sam Pallin, Steve Gordon, Bylinda and Betty Neal and Judy Kipen. AFTA members also showed up to cheer us on. Steve Gordon took a first place in Trail Pleasure competing against 7 other riders. This was his first horse show ever. He was very thrilled and proud. Not only did he receive a first place ribbon, but also a $50 gift certificate to Home Depot! In the Natural Pleasure class Judy Kipen took the first place ribbon and $50 gift certificate in a class of 13 riders! Wow, lets go shopping!

Equistar is having a show May 20 at Westworld. Put it on your calendar! We need to support these people as they are starting to put on some nice shows for us. They are open to adding more classes.
