PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Well, its that time of year again. By now some of us have already had our share of turkey! What a way to go! (burp) I think all of our rides and potlucks have been outstanding this year. We had Cinco De Mayo dinner in May, our All American potluck in July, then a huge Thanksgiving dinner in St David. We’ve seen new faces in our group and we welcome them! We’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery Arizona has to offer. It just doesn’t get any better than that! I hope to see a lot of our members at the clinic Lothar Rowe is sponsoring in January at Miller Ranch in Scottsdale. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our versatile Foxtrotters. See the “Events” page of our website for more information. I hope that if you can’t ride in the clinic, please come watch. Everyone can learn a lot by attending. Equistar is working hard to put on gaited horse shows with some good Foxtrotter classes. We really need to support their efforts and show our horses or at least attend to cheer on the riders. The National Trail ride is filling up fast. If you wish to attend this year, you better hurry and send in those applications! There’s a lot going on out there, so saddle up and join us!

The 2007 National Trail Ride is on track and will be a lot of fun!  We have a great entertainer, Sue Barr, coming from New Mexico.  We'll have Cooper's Barbque provide the food, as they have done such a great job in the past.  We have 11 Committee members working on making this a ride to remember!  Registrations are already coming in, so if you want to sign up, don't wait too long as the ride is limited to 75 riders.  A copy of the registration will be sent out with the November newsletter, or you can download one HERE.
