PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Change is in the air! Spring is just around the corner.  Lots of changes in our club are also just around the corner.  As you all know by now, there are lots of openings on the board of directors for AFTA. These include President, Vice President, Secretary and Ride Coordinator.  There are also some new options open to allow more of our members to be on the AFTA board.  We can communicate thru email, have meetings thru conference calls or on the internet.  Skypes, Yahoo or MSN messenger would allow us to do this.  All you have to have is a computer with either DSL or Broadband.  Think of the possibilities this opens! We could have board members from all over the state!  We will be discussing all these new options at our membership meeting/ride March 10-11 at the Pallin’s in Tonopah.

I’m sure you have all heard about the success of the 2007 National Trail Ride in Bumblebee.  Everything was excellent-even the weather!  I have received lots of compliments on our ride.  Our guests enjoyed the amenities of the Ranch, entertainment, raffle and beautiful trails.  Its nice to see so many of our guests return year after year.  Our NTR Committee members are to be commended on the excellent job they did!  Way to go, team!

At this time, we have no scheduled rides.  You guessed it!  We need people like YOU to lead a ride. It has been suggested that we have less rides.  Maybe quarterly?  We will be discussing this and other issues at the membership meeting in March.

So, we’ll see you at the membership meeting/ride in March!  Remember, it will be a catered dinner, so we need your RSVP to Karen Pallin at whitedogranch2@earthlink.net.
